How Arkansas phone chat coverage is split

Bigger states hand you a list of forty numbers to work through. Arkansas needs three. Find the one that covers your city and that is the whole decision.

479 takes the northwest, 501 carries the centre and most of the state, and 870 covers the south and the Ozarks. You dial into the chat line, record a short greeting, and you are hearing callers near you inside a minute. Nothing to download and no account to create first.

One thing worth knowing before you dial: the number MyMobileLine uses for a city is not always the area code that city sits in. Fort Smith and Jonesboro both reach callers on the 501 number. Go by the city directory below rather than by the code on your own phone.

Five Arkansases

The state does not have one calling scene, it has five

Drive four hours across Arkansas and the accent changes, the pace changes, and so does what a Friday night looks like. Tap a band to filter the city list below.

479

Northwest Arkansas

The corridor that grew fastest. A large share of callers moved here for work in the last few years and do not have an established circle yet, which makes this the easiest part of the state to start a conversation in.

BENTONVILLE, ROGERS, SPRINGDALE, PLUS FAYETTEVILLE, SILOAM SPRINGS, VAN BUREN, HARRISON, BERRYVILLE AND HUNTSVILLE
479-268-2500
501

Central Arkansas

The busiest pool in the state. Little Rock brings the volume, Conway brings a younger college crowd, and the two ends of the metro keep the chat line moving on weeknights.

LITTLE ROCK, NORTH LITTLE ROCK, CONWAY, PLUS HOT SPRINGS, BENTON, BRYANT, CABOT, SEARCY, RUSSELLVILLE, SHERWOOD AND JACKSONVILLE
501-707-1111
501

The River Valley

Older, steadier, and more rooted. Shift patterns at the plants and the hospitals shape when people are free, so calls around Fort Smith run later than you would expect for the size of the city.

FORT SMITH
501-707-1111
501

The Delta and the east

Flat country, farm hours and towns spaced far apart. Voice does a lot of work out here, because the nearest place to meet anyone new can be a long drive in either direction.

JONESBORO, PINE BLUFF, PLUS WEST MEMPHIS, BLYTHEVILLE, FORREST CITY, HELENA, PARAGOULD AND WYNNE
501-707-1111
870

South Arkansas and the Ozarks

The widest ground and the smallest towns. Callers here are used to knowing everyone in a ten mile radius, which is exactly why an anonymous chat line has a following.

TEXARKANA, PRESCOTT, GILBERT, PLUS EL DORADO, CAMDEN, MAGNOLIA, ARKADELPHIA, HOPE, MONTICELLO, MOUNTAIN HOME, BATESVILLE AND SALEM

Free trial minutes

What is actually free on an Arkansas chat line

Plenty of services advertise free chat line numbers in Arkansas and then hand you two minutes, just enough to hear a recording before the clock runs out. That is a sample, not a free trial.

FOR WOMENEvery call, every city, no clock

Women call free on all three Arkansas numbers with no time limit and nothing to buy first. Not a promotion. The permanent deal, explained on our chat lines for women page.

Free always

FOR MEN, FIRST CALLThe trial starts itself

New male callers get free trial minutes automatically on the first call. Thirty is standard, promotions run up to sixty. Details on chat lines for men, or just start the free trial.

Free trial

CARD TO GET STARTEDDial first, decide later

You hear the line before anything else happens. There is no card to enter just to try it, which is how a free trial should work.

Not needed

AUTOMATIC RENEWALSNothing charges behind your back

When the free trial minutes end, the call simply ends. Continuing is your decision, and the packages page shows exactly what it costs.

None

Questions about how any of it works are covered in the FAQ, or scroll down for the Arkansas answers.

A note on the sixty minute offer: sixty free trial minutes is a seasonal promotion rather than a year round standard. Thirty free trial minutes is the standing offer for new male callers. Confirm the current promotion when you call 1-888-580-7070. Women call free with no time limit at all, in every season.

The 479

Northwest Arkansas has pulled in tens of thousands of people

The Bentonville and Rogers and Springdale corridor has grown faster than anywhere else in the state for a decade, and it is still going.

Many of those arrivals are starting a social life from nothing. They moved for the job, they know their colleagues and almost nobody else, and voice is a much faster way in than an app feed that shows the same handful of faces on repeat.

That makes the 479 the easiest part of Arkansas to start a conversation in. Nobody on this line assumes you already know people here, because most of them do not either.

The open corner

The busiest weeknight pool

Northwest Arkansas and Little Rock carry most of the state's volume between nine and eleven. If you are in the corridor, that is your window.

Know your code

Do not assume your own area code is the one to dial

This is the thing that catches people out in Arkansas more than anywhere else on the coverage map. The number MyMobileLine uses for a city does not always match the area code that city sits in.

Fort Smith sits in 479 and Jonesboro sits in 870, but both reach callers on the 501 number. Dial by the city directory above, not by the code printed on your own phone, and you will land in the right pool first time.

The reason is historical. Arkansas grew every one of its codes from a single root, so the boundaries have been redrawn more than once while the calling regions themselves stayed roughly where they were.

The 501

Every Arkansas area code came from one

Most states collected their area codes from different directions over the years. Arkansas grew all of its from a single root, which is why the numbers here still feel connected in a way they do not elsewhere.

870 split off in 1997 and took the south, the east and most of the north, making it the largest of the three by ground covered. 479 broke off in 2002 for Northwest Arkansas and Fort Smith as that corner of the state boomed.

327 was added in 2024 as an overlay on top of 870 rather than splitting it again, so nobody had to change a number. The calling regions on this page have stayed put through all of it.

A little line history

501 was one of the original eighty six area codes assigned in America in 1947, and it covered the entire state of Arkansas on its own for fifty years. It still carries more cities on this map than any other number in the state.

How it works

Four tracks from dial tone to conversation

Calling a Arkansas chat line takes about a minute, start to finish.

04

Talk

Women talk free with no limit. New male callers start on the free trial automatically, so the first conversation costs nothing.

Why voice

In a small town, privacy is the whole point

Arkansas is a state of small places where people genuinely know each other. That is the best thing about living here and the hardest thing about dating here. Put a profile and a photo on an app in a town of eight thousand and half the county sees it by Thursday.

A chat line has no profile to find, no photo to screenshot and nothing that circulates. Outside Little Rock and the northwest corner, dating apps show the same handful of faces on repeat. A statewide chat line pools everyone on it at once, so there is always someone new.

There is also the distance problem. Meeting someone new can mean a forty minute drive before you know whether you like them. Hearing a voice first tells you in two minutes what a night out would take three hours to tell you. Saying you are near Conway and happy to drive to Little Rock saves both of you a conversation that was never going to work.

Arkansas peaks between 9pm and 11pm Central and quietens down sooner than the coasts, so starting at nine gives you the fullest pool. More on how MyMobileLine is different.

Private by design
The smaller the town, the more this matters. Your call stays yours.

There is no profile, no photo and no feed attached to a call, so there is nothing for anyone to come across later. Caller ID is protected on every call, so nobody you speak with sees the number you dialled in from and nothing is passed between callers. You stay in control the whole time: skip a greeting, block a caller, or end a live conversation straight from the keypad without having to explain yourself to leave. Support is reachable toll free on 1-800-304-3080 around the clock, and membership numbers are never sent out over email.

Arkansas chat line numbers, answered

Yes. MyMobileLine has local numbers for 12 Arkansas cities across 479, 501 and 870. Women talk free permanently, with no time limit. Men get free trial minutes on a first call, thirty as standard and up to sixty when a seasonal promotion is running, and there is nothing to pay before those minutes start.

Bentonville, Conway, Fort Smith, Gilbert, Jonesboro, Little Rock, North Little Rock, Pine Bluff, Prescott, Rogers, Springdale and Texarkana. Each has its own page with the number for that city, all listed in the directory above.

Use the number for your part of the state. Northwest Arkansas calls 479-268-2500, central and eastern Arkansas call 501-707-1111, and south Arkansas and the Ozarks call 870-330-3500. If none of those is close, the toll free number on 1-888-580-7070 will connect you with callers in your area.

Not always, and this catches people out. The number MyMobileLine uses for a city does not always match the area code that city sits in. Fort Smith is in 479 and Jonesboro is in 870, but both reach callers on the 501 number. Go by the city directory rather than by the code on your own phone.

Between 9pm and 11pm Central on weeknights, with Little Rock and Northwest Arkansas carrying most of the volume. The state starts early and winds down earlier than the coasts, so calling at nine puts you in a fuller pool than calling at midnight.

A local number puts you with callers closest to you, which is what most people want. If you would rather reach a wider pool, or you are calling from out of state, use the toll free number on 1-888-580-7070 instead.

No. There is no app to download, no account to create before you call, and no profile or photos to put together. You dial from whatever phone you already have, record a short greeting, and start listening.

No. Women talk free on every call, on all three Arkansas numbers, with no time limit and no upgrade tier. Recording a greeting is free and so is browsing everyone else's.

Yes. Caller ID is protected on every call, so nobody you speak with sees the number you dialled in from. There is no public profile, no photo and nothing searchable attached to you, and every conversation stays one on one.

Nothing is charged automatically. Women keep talking free with no limit at all, so there is nothing to run out. When a man's free trial minutes end, an affordable package keeps the conversation going, and the options are posted plainly on the packages page.
